News update from Brazil - September 2007
Dear Friends,
Greetings from Sao Paulo Brazil.
Since we wrote you from our great trip to Las Vegas we went back to our home in Dallas, Texas for 2 weeks. We enjoyed being home. This was the longest we had been in our home since the beginning of the year. Our travel schedule in 11 nations has only allowed us to be home for 20 days since the beginning of this year. It was so wonderful to be at our home church, Church in the City, and to see our friends. We enjoyed the time our pastor gave us to minister at our home church.
Then our adventure to Brazil began! Brazil is a nation that really has an open atmosphere for the gospel. Everyday during the day we went to the Expo, a forum that brings all the ministries of the nation together: pastors, ministries, publishing houses, radio and TV stations, etc. We really got to meet a lot of good people. God opened so many great doors for us. We will be going to a lot of great churches and ministries next year. Every night we spoke at different churches in the city of Sao Paulo.
Each one of our meetings was powerful - the lost were saved and the sick were healed. We took testimonies every night. God did great miracles! We never got tired of hearing again and again about God's power touching the lives of His people. We ministered in 6 different churches. One of the things that I can see about the church in Brazil is that people are really hungry. There are also a lot of great singers. Our last meeting was so powerful. The Glory of God came down in the middle of my preaching. I stopped and backed off from my preaching because people were crying and praying. Some were rejoicing before God and this went on for almost 30 minutes. It was so rewarding to see God visit us in such a mighty way. Many testified of being healed and transformed by the power of God. The bishop of the church was so touched. He asked me if I could come speak at a gathering where he will bring all his churches together next year. He told me that I had the message that the people of Brazil needed to hear. We had a great encounter with God that confirmed a lot of things that we have been praying and believing God for.

We will be home for 2 weeks before going to Asia in October. Please keep that trip in prayer. It's going to be a very strategic trip for us.
Ilke will be speaking to all the ladies of our church Thursday September 27th.
We appreciate your prayer and your support.
Keep reaching forward in Him.
Many blessings,
Guy & Ilke
